RE: electrical problem
Make a tiedown that attaches to the male plug and to the pickup box. Possibly just a couple of screws into the box and a bongie. Good luck
RE: Advice needed for roadside service provider
From what I see on this board CoachNet rates very high. Good Sam, Camping World and others also receive good rating. AAA would be my last choice after none.
RE: Ford or GM for TC??
You probably should also look at Dodge. All Three make very good trucks. I would try to find an RV dealer with the camper you want loaded on a truck and see how I liked the combo. If possible shop several dealers and hope they have different trucks. Insist that they load and unload the camper so you can see how difficult it is. Dual real wheels add to the challenge. Good luck.
RE: volts and charging
As long as the batteries are being charged they will stay at about 13.5 volts. If the charger is turned off they will settle to about 12.6 volts.

RE: Onan 5500 starting up on its own!!!!
It sounds like your unit is probably still under warrentee. I would look up a nearby dealer and have them look at it.
RE: I need video recording tips
You might want to think about getting a unipod to hold your camera. I think the smaller cameras are more suseptable to movement than the old larger ones. It could be that you are less stable. Good luck
RE: Plastic bin storage horror
I wonder how the moths got in that tub? We use those for storage but never had that type of problem. I guess we should carry a few mothballs. Thanks for the info.
RE: Cover for skillet
We have a lid for our 12" skilet and use it a lot. We so bacon, sausage, or ham and potatoes in the skillet and with the lid on the potatoes cook much faster. We move those items to the side and add eggs and a couple of ice cubes to have basted eggs to complete our breakfest. We fry hamburger broken into small pieces with onions, green and red bell peppers then add tomatoes to make a chilimac dish. With the lid on every thing gets hot faster. The tight fitting lid effectively makes the skillet a pressure cooker.
RE: Running ice maker on inverter
I may be wrong but if you have the refrigerator running on the inverter you should have ice. If the fridge is on gas it may take a change to the control board to make the ice maker work. I would think the ice maker would work in either gas or electric operation. Good luck.
RE: 80 Watt Solar panel
Eighty watts is about 6 amps. In really good sun with the panel tilted at the best angle that may barely charge your battery enough for what you want. It will be marginal at best. Using a generator to charge batteries works using your converter or an outside battery charger. Some honda have a 12 volt circuit but it puts out only a few amps.
